- 1. Is there any charge to enter the CFO Asia Best Practices Awards Program?
There is no entry fee for The CFO Asia Best Practices Awards Program.

2. Who will be judging the entries?
Each entry for a CFO Asia Best Practices Award will be reviewed by a distinguished panel of experts in finance from across the region. The panel will be chaired by Carla Rapoport, Editor-in-Chief of CFO Asia magazine.

3. How many awards will be given out in each category?
The intention is to honor one winner in each category. However, The CFO Asia Best Practices Awards Program reserves the right to award more than one award in any category or to not award any at all.

4. How will I know if I’ve won a CFO Asia Best Practices Award?
All winners of The CFO Asia Best Practices Awards will be notified in early January 2002, and their names will be published in the March 2002 issue of CFO Asia magazine. Winners will also be profiled in CFO Asia.

5. What will I receive if I am an award recipient?
Winners will receive a Best Practices trophy, as well as an invitation to an awards celebration. Their accomplishments will be published in CFO Asia magazine.

6. How recent should submitted initiatives be?
Broadly speaking, the judges are seeking to identify and reward the CFOs who have had the greatest impact on their organization’s performance over a two-year period.

7. Can initiatives be submitted in-process?
Only initiatives that have measurable results can be submitted for a CFO Asia Best Practices Award. If a project is a multistep endeavor, accomplishments for individual steps may be entered as long as results are available.

8. What if my entry straddles two categories?
If you have a question about what category best suits your project, please contact Carla Rapaport at (852) 2585-3264.

9. What if my entry doesn’t fit into any one category?
Every effort has been made to make the categories broad enough to suit most projects. However, if your project does not satisfy the category criteria, it cannot be accepted as part of the awards program at this time.

10. Can I win more than one category?
If you submit a valid application in more than one category it is possible to win more than one Award.

11. Do I have to supply all the information requested in Part B?
In principle, yes. Although entries can be submitted with less information, we may contact you requesting further details to enable good comparative judging, or have to reject your application if we do not have enough information.

12. What if my company’s an Asia Pacific operation of a multinational?
You are eligible to enter but we will need regional numbers to support your application.

13. What will be done with the information submitted?
The information submitted to The Best Practices Awards process will be kept in strictest confidence. However, should a nominee win, he/she will be interviewed by a journalist from CFO Asia magazine, and any information submitted as part of the application may appear as part of an article in the magazine.
